The GST Registration Number (GSTIN) is a 15-digit alphanumeric code assigned to businesses registered under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime in India. The GSTIN is used to identify taxpayers and track their transactions.
It has helped to simplify the tax structure, reduce the cascading effect of taxes, improve the transparency and accountability of the tax system, and create a unified national market for goods and services.
